The remit

Reputation is not a campaign. It is a consequence.

The hardest moments rarely announce themselves in advance. A vote is called, a story breaks, a regulator moves, a market turns. Our clients call us before those moments to build the standing that carries them through, and during them to hold the line.

We combine the instincts of political operators, journalists and counsel into a single team that designs the strategy and executes it, from the first memo to the last interview. There is no handoff between the people who think and the people who do.

Most of what we do is invisible by design. The best outcome is often the crisis that never became one, the vote that was won before it was called, the story that ran the way it should have. We are comfortable with credit going elsewhere.

Win the argument before the vote is called. By the time it is, the room has usually made up its mind.
How we think about public affairs
Capabilities

What we do.

Six capabilities, run by one senior team. We rarely deploy them in isolation. A reputation problem is usually a policy problem wearing a media costume, and we treat it that way.

01

Public Affairs & Government Relations

Mapping the decision, the decision-makers and the path between them, then engaging governments, regulators and multilaterals with a case they can act on.

02

Strategic Counsel & Crisis Communication

Senior, discreet counsel for high-stakes moments, with readiness planning before the crisis and steady hands once it arrives.

03

Reputation Building

Deliberate, long-horizon work to establish authority and trust with the audiences that decide your future, not just your next headline.

04

Speechwriting & Message Development

Finding the argument, sharpening the language and preparing the principal to deliver it, from the floor of a chamber to the global stage.

05

Media & Presentation Coaching

Preparing leaders for the interview, the hearing and the room, so the message survives contact with pressure.

06

Research, Data & Evidence

Polling, message testing and evidence that turns instinct into a defensible strategy and a persuasive case.

When clients call

Situations we are built for.

01

A vote you cannot lose

Legislation, a mandate or a board decision where the count is close and the terrain is contested.

02

A story about to break

Investigation, leak or exposé, where the first hours decide how the next year reads.

03

A regulator on the move

Scrutiny, inquiry or a rule change that could reshape how you operate, or whether you can.

04

A market you are entering

New country, new sector, new politics. Standing to build and gatekeepers to win over before you arrive.

05

A reputation to rebuild

After the setback, the settlement or the scandal, the patient work of earning trust back on the record.

06

A deal under pressure

A transaction facing political, regulatory or public opposition that the spreadsheet did not price in.

How we engage

A method, not a retainer.

01

Diagnose

We establish the real objective, the terrain and the opposition, and pressure-test the assumptions everyone has stopped questioning.

02

Position

We settle the argument: the two or three things that must be true in people's minds, and the language that makes them true.

03

Mobilise

We engage the audiences that matter, in the order that matters, through the channels and voices they actually trust.

04

Hold

We stay in the moment as it unfolds, adjust in real time, and protect the standing we built when it is tested.

  • Measure activity: meetings held, releases sent
  • Chase the credit for a good outcome

Exalt

  • Design policy, message and capital as one programme
  • The people you meet are the people who deliver
  • Build and run the programme alongside you
  • Measure the outcome: what actually changed
  • Take the responsibility, leave you the credit
